| Perhaps
the most significant planetary event of the year, Jupiter's shift
from earth-bound Taurus the Bull into Gemini, the airy, communicative
sign of the Twins occurs Friday the 30th at 12:35 a.m. PDT. For the
next 12 months, the planet of prosperity and optimism will bestow
blessings on Gems, Librans and Aquarians whether or not they deserve
them. This should be an interesting change; while Taurus tends to
solidify its holdings (as recent corporate consolidation has shown),
Gemini favors diversification and distribution. No matter which mode
it is in, Jupiter always spreads its gifts, often to wretched excess.
Keep an eye on professions under its bailiwick; e.g., higher education,
the clergy, philosophy, judges and lawgivers, and the very lucrative
world of sports. Some of those gifts may be evident as physically-fit
Mars conjuncts the Cancer sun on Saturday during breakfast at Wimbledon.
The Cancer new moon/partial solar eclipse is exact July 1 at 12:20
p.m., kicking off a cycle of eclipses in Cancer-Capricorn instead
of Leo-Aquarius and bringing psychological relief for those fixed
signs as well as for Scorpio and Taurus. On Sunday, retrograde Mercury
meets affectionate Venus; maybe an old love will write a love letter
in the sand. There's a festive Leo moon for most of Independence Day,
but it's lunar Virgo -- perfection, please -- that'll set off the
fire-works and get you back to work Wednesday. |
